If you're logging in to Bankline for the first time you'll need:
- Customer ID
- User ID
- Activation code (this is only needed for the first time you log in)
- Smartcard, smartcard PIN and QR card reader
Once you have these, here are the steps to follow:
- Go to www.natwest.com/bankline and click the 'Log in' button
- Enter your Customer ID and User ID and press 'Continue'
- You'll now be prompted to enter your 10-digit activation code. Enter the first five digits in the first box and the last five digits in the second.
- You'll be asked to scan a QR code with your smartcard reader. When prompted to do this, follow the onscreen instructions. (You can find support on scanning QR codes in our guide.)
- Click 'Continue'
- You'll then be asked to create and confirm a PIN (used for additional Bankline services - this is not your smartcard PIN) and 'password'. Choose something memorable and secure, and keep them secret
After you've logged in for the first time, you won't need your activation code again.
